TWO SKINCARE PRODUCTS I CAN'T STOP USING

Firstly, here is a little run down on my skin, to help you understand the bigger picture on my skin type: I have oily/combination skin and have suffered badly with breakouts the past few years, and really badly this year. My problem areas are blackheads on my nose and breakouts on my cheeks. I'm currently using the Proactiv+ 3 Step Clear Skin System, along with the Re-Texturising Toner and Mark Fading Pads. As of this week have started using the Deep Cleansing Brush and Green Tea Moisturiser…..I’m loving these two at the moment, although I am having a purge from the Deep Cleansing Brush, but this always happens to me and I’m assured it is a normal part of any journey to clear skin.

Now onto my current two favourites…..

Mark Fading Pads.
Now I'll be the first to admit I didn't think I actually needed these, but oh wow was I wrong! They really help to clear the skin up even more and like the name suggests, they help to fade marks! I use these every day for 5-7 days consecutively but find my skin looks so good after the 4th day.

For me results I get from using the Mark Fading Pads feel like a mini facial peel and my skin looks and feels 10x better when I use them, so if you’re wanting a quick fix to gorgeous skin then definitely check them out  shop here for the mark fading pads

Skin Purifying Mask.
This is something I loved even long before I started using the Proactiv 3-Step-System. I found it to be a mask that actually worked really well for me, and it still does! As the name suggests it’s a purifying mask so helps to clear up skin. I use this as a blemish treatment also and I only tend to use this on my problem areas such as my nose, chin and cheeks, which is where my skin tends to be a little bit of a pain in the butt sometimes hehe

I love using this when I have a long hot bubble bath! I dampen my skin then apply the mask and leave it for as long as possible because I feel the longer I leave it for the better it works for my skin. This mask is definitely something I highly recommend..   Shop here for the skin purifying mask

Have you ever tried anything from Proactiv before? If you have I'd love to know what you have tried and if you loved it just as much as I do..

Until next time xox

MY NEW FAVOURITE JACKET

Hey gang!
So today I am talking to you about an item of clothing that I am OBSESSED with. As you may have noticed I have had a jacket permanently attached to my body the past week and it was such a bargain purchase. Last weekend Jess and I headed to Jersey and of course us being girls we hit the shops and pretty much all the shops had sale going on so we was like brilliant. Headed into New Look which may I just say they are seriously on another level at the moment but anyways..
I found a leather jacket that looked identical to the allsaints jacket that everyone and their mothers seem to have, to look at the price to see that its was £14.99

Speaking of outfits check out the 3 outfits I wore in Jersey which is linked below along with the outfit details that you could ever need,    xoxo

THE BAKER BOY TREND

I don't know about you but when the baker boy hat trend came around I'll have to say I was not feeling it. AT. ALL.   I thought it was a trend I would 100% skip and not even try to get on board with.. oh boy was I wrong.

A few weeks back I stumbled into good old Primark and they had some for a bargain of a price £4. Four quid! Normally they are retailed for around £9-£25 depending on where you get one from but I thought why not try it because it's the cheapest on the high street as of right now.

I am actually now obsessed with the baker boy hat trend, that when it came to being in Jersey this past weekend I was always wearing it and have a fair few times this week too.
I find it goes with so much and just gives your outfit that extra bit of sass it needs.. yeah like my outfits are ever sass Tash, come on haha

Sadly there is no direct link to the Primark one, but I have my eye on two from Topshop currently and one of them is red. If that doesn't scream a festive trend piece to you then honestly what does!

FOODS THAT ARE GOOD FOR CLEAR SKIN

It's hard to really know what food is actually good for you, particularly for keeping your skin clear alongside a good skincare routine. One thing about me is that I'm a picky eater and don't like the texture of some foods and makes food a little difficult for me - but today I am sharing with you a few foods I love, which your body and skin will definitely thank you for eating.

Let's start off with drinks, first of all, water. THIS IS ESSENTIAL for every day because it's just so good for you. Hydration is essential now we are in winter, not only does this keep dryness at bay but drinking water regularly also keeps blemishes clear

Peppermint Tea: This is so good at keeping your skin clear and also so good for your digestive system. I love this in replacement for my morning tea. Just make sure its caffeine free

Red Grapes: They are packed with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. They also help protect your skin from harmful UV rays.

Pineapple: (my fave!!) it helps to promote good skin health, it's high in vitamin C, helps and aids digestion - helping tissue repair and calming skin inside out.

Tomatoes: Rich in vitamin A, C & K. They also have a secret beauty ingredient called lycopene which helps protect skin from environmental agents that can contribute to clogged pores and breakouts

Avacado: Full of vitamin E, C and is also full of healthy fats! Also helps to keep skin looking young and supple... give me a lifetime supply, please

Also, other good foods which are amazing for you are Eggs, Broccoli and Salmon

One food recipe that I love is a Thai green curry! I love to jam pack it full of veg like broccoli, peppers, green beans and baby corn.

When I make it I don't tend to stick to the traditional recipe that you find online but when first making this my go-to was the BBC Food's recipe. The only thing I don't use is fish paste and salt all though I replace it with garlic which is such a good ingredient for you.

  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil  - I change for coconut oil
  • 1-2 tbsp ready-made green curry paste
  • Pre-diced chicken 200g
  • 100ml tin coconut milk
  • Garlic
  • Handful green beans, trimmed
  • Handful peppers
  • Broccoli
  • Baby corn
  • Black pepper for seasoning
  • And of course rice. I tend to use brown rice or normal depending how I feel

So there you have it - food that is good for your skin! If you're interested in finding out more foods that are beneficial for the skin then Proactiv+ have a really good page that explains more on the foods and what they are good fo - click here to have a little read.

Alongside skin-friendly foods I’ve also been using Proactiv+ products to keep my skin clear - you can check out my favorites the Skin Smoothing Exfoliator and Skin Purifying Mask on the Proactiv+ website
